The Stop Linton Wind Farm Action Group ( StopLWF) is a group of local residents, formed in June 2007, who oppose Enertrag’s plans to build a wind farm, consisting of
8 (125m, 410ft high) wind turbines, on the ridge between
Linton and Gt. Chesterford.

On this website you will find information which should help you to make a considered decision as to whether the Wind Farm should or should not be built in this location. If you agree with the Action Group then go to the membership page and register your  agreement.

As a general introduction to the case against wind farms then this article written by Dr John Etherington on behalf of Country Guardian, and updated in 2006, runs through all the issues that need to be balanced against the positive benefit of producing some carbon free electricity when forming a conclusion as to whether this is an appropriate location for a wind farm as large as this.
